Cultural erasure of the kufiya - link
The kuffiyeh / kufiya is a symbol of resistance, and is commonly worn by Palestinians to symbolise the Palestinian resistance.
It is not a fashion statement.
It started out being worn by farmers to keep cool in the heat, warm in the cold, and covering their faces from the sand. link

Now it is commonly used to symbolise Palestinian children and people.
Afro-Palestinians
Palestine is diverse, and not just made up of Arabs. We must acknowledge the existence of Afro-Palestinians, and the struggles they experience.
Afro-Palestinians talk heritage and resistance
Afro-Palestinians experience a double-discrimination - one for being Palestinian, and one for being Black. They forge a community in Palestine and experience racism from both Arabs and Israelis. Afro-Palestinians are a part of the Palestinian people.
The Nakba & The Intifada
Al-Nakba, the Arabic word for "catastrophe", refers to the flee-ing and explusion of Palestinians from their homes in 1799.
Intifada translates to "shake off" in Arabic. It is a series of protests against the Israeli occupation from the Palestinians.
